I do not understand all of this "Bush bashing" that has been going on in our media for the past eight years. All of this is detrimental to our country as a whole. What good i served by the liberal media bashing our commander in chief. Sure i know about the first amendment, and the freedom of speech argument that the liberal media takes. However, what i do not understand is these same reporters, journalist's and commentators refuse to use this when there is a democrat in the oval office. -
look at how heralded Pres. Clinton was and is today, all while using the oval office as his personal adultery room. - All we know about is Monica Lowenski, but are we really to believe she is the only victim of this man's ego and power ridden lust? Give me a break. Yet he is placed on a marble pedestal by the liberal media. President Bush, has served as president during the most trying of times since WWII. He inherited a mess from the Clinton years, and immediately was faced with one of, if not the greatest tragedies in American history with the events of 9/11/2001.
Sure mistakes were made, are we all not human, do we not all make mistakes, but through it all I have seen a President who has stood by his conviction, by his values and by his belief that America will defend herself against all attacks, and all terrorists and enemies of our country. I have seen a man who has faced an onslaught by the media, who seem to have forgotten that horrible day when the towers fell, who seem to have conveniently forgotten the 3000+ lives lost. - there is much more to President Bush than Iraq. There is much more to his time in office than 9/11, there is so much more.
I for one am proud to have voted for him twice, and would again if he were running. I would love to have a man, yes I said man on purpose, in the white house whose christian principles I knew about (whether I agreed with them or not) whose resolve is strong and whose faith is unwavering. and someone who understands the meaning of the word "is".
I am not so naive to understand that with the position goes the responsibility, even those things that are outside of their control. I also am not so naive to know that with a democratic congress there is little Pres. Bush can do, these liberals love to tie the hands of the white house, and love to ridicule policies they themselves do not understand. So yes I am proud of my president, I am proud to pray for him everyday, i am proud to have voted for him. And I long to see how vindication will come as history looks back on his eight years, as some of the toughest, and some of the best in American history. That is unless the text books of the future are written by liberals with an agenda.
