The Presidental election

This is a hot topic I know. That is why I am covering it now, I am sure I will again before November, which cannot get here soon enough so the news coverage will be something other than bashing President Bush and the new candidates.

I will say that I am not pleased with either candidate, it is one of those elections where either choice will not be a good one. But this is what we have. As a christian, it is my responsibility to first look at how these two gentlemen measure up to the christian standards, while this may be varied, there are many we can mostly agree on. - This is where I see many differences, while I do not feel it is my place to judge either candidate, it appears that while both lack the standards to get a full endorsement, I have to choose one over the other, I thought about writing in a vote for Mike Huckabee who is the only one I would vote for because of his beliefs and his character and integrity. I feel this would be a wasted vote, and since the comparison between Barak Obama and John McCain is so vast. I must give my vote to McCain.

For me the choice while, not what I would like, is still easy. Mr. McCain has proven his loyalty to America, his dedication to improving the lives of Americans, and mostly he is intolerant of extremist. In this world we are living in today, we cannot elect a president that would engage in conversations with extremist and enemies of our way of life. Mr. Obama has gone on record stating he would have open discussions with all governments. Therefore the choice is clear. America will be much safer with Mr. McCain as President and he will get my vote in November. Unless I can cast it sooner so it will all be over. - That is the stance from here.
